Nursing foot care fees aren't simply based on the time you spend in the treatment chair.

As an independent nursing practice, Healed Sole follows the standards and guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

When determining reasonable fees, nurses are expected to consider factors such as the nature and complexity of the care, the time spent with or on behalf of the client, the cost of supplies and materials, and fees for comparable nursing or health-care services. CNO also advises independent nurses to look at comparable services within their community or, when necessary, in other regions.

This means pricing also needs to reflect the realities of providing professional nursing care in our region — while remaining reasonable and comparable to similar nursing services.

Why don't you offer sales or discounts?

Nursing services are different from retail services. For nurses who provide direct care to individual clients, CNO's Independent Practice guideline states that nurses should not offer discounts, coupons or promotional offers for their nursing services.

This helps maintain fairness and professional boundaries so that clients receive the same standard of care regardless of when or how they book.

What is included in your fee?

Your appointment fee supports much more than the treatment you see during your visit. It also helps cover the professional requirements involved in providing safe independent nursing care, including:

• assessment and individualized care planning

• infection prevention and sterilization processes

• professional documentation

• education and follow-up recommendations

• nursing registration and professional liability requirements

• equipment, supplies and PPE

• continuing education and maintaining specialized foot-care competencies
